Tagestour Hitzacker – Neu Darchau 14km

Unsere Hausstrecke: Startpunkt dieser Tour ist die auf einer Insel gelegene Fachwerkstadt Hitzacker. Wir treffen uns direkt an der Einmündung der Jeetzel in die Elbe. Nach einer Einweisung und einer Proberunde im Hafenbecken folgt Ihr dem Strom der Elbe in Richtung Nordwesten.
Auf der linken Seite gleitet der Drawehn-Höhenzug vorbei, ein Überrest aus der vorletzten Eiszeit. Seine höchste Erhebung ist der Kniepenberg bei Drethem mit 86m ü NN. Auf dem Gipfel befindet sich ein Aussichtsturm mit phantastischem Elbblick.
In Klein Kühren (KM 534) liegt am linken Ufer auf einer weitläufigen Sonnenwiese der Pausenplatz „Elbdorado“ mit köstlichen Bio-Burgern und kalten Getränken.
Die Tour endet bei KM 536 vor der Autofähre von Neu Darchau am linken Ufer. Landet an der letzten Buhne links vor dem Fähranleger beim Kanu Anhänger an und folgt dem Kopfsteinpflaster zu unserer Kanu Station.
